E. Jakarta Tamhut Handled 671 Fallen Trees Last Year

East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency handled 671 fallen trees during January to February 2024.

The most fallen case was in Pasar Rebo Sub-district by 103 trees

Sub-agency's Green Lane and Cemetery Section Head, Made Widhi Adnyana Surya Pratita, explained those 671 fallen trees were spread in 10 sub-districts.

As many as 67 trees were handled by Jatinegara Sub-district taskforce, 28 trees by Makasar, 103 trees by Pasar Rebo, 22 trees by Matraman, 73 trees by Pulogadung, 25 trees by Kramat Jati, 58 trees by Ciracas, 80 trees by Cipayung, 75 trees by Duren Sawit, and 38 trees by Cakung Sub-district.

There were also 102 fallen trees handled by Sub-agency's ambush team.

"The most fallen case was in Pasar Rebo Sub-district by 103 trees. The area had many shady trees," he said, Thursday (1/2).

His side will maximize the ambush team role to minimize the fallen tree case by pruning the shady and prone to fall trees.

There are 91 personnel equipped with 23 chainsaws and one ladder car at Sub-agency office and Cipinang Besar Selatan Cemetery office.

"They are on standby everyday to do pruning and handling fallen trees," he stated.
